Chanel Does Dior!

My favorite Channel did Dior Couture. This is her second time doing HC for Dior. (S/S 2008 was her first time). I ♥ her! And you should too!

P.S. Louis Vuitton + Comme Des Garçons = ? (I'll talk about this later!)

Chanel and Friends!

Just some random shots.
Because I know Jourdan and Chanel are friends
and so is Chanel and Coco!
Or I really want to believe it.

Black Covergirl for August VI?

I'm looking @ TheImagist.com, and under the post for Vogue Noir's Issue, lies 10 Spontaneous Thoughts.
10 Spontaneous Thoughts On Vogue Italia July 2008

1. The big win is for Major's Sessilee Lopez. A cover, beautiful pictures and a on-the-record endorsement from Mr Meisel. She deserves all that!

2.Its very modern and very shrewd of Sozzanni and company to harness the passion and interest of internet fashion fans by pre-releasing the cover (virtually unheard of for VI) as well as a select group of images. TI bets newstand sales are going to be in-sane.

3.Edward Enninful's email quotes on Horn's "On The Runway" blog were amazing. This dispells for me the sentiment by some that this shoot was a cynical gesture.

4.The timing of the PR push is very interesting. Enough said LOL.

5.Oddly enough I cannot wait to see those Toccara Jones snaps

6. It was very real on Ms Sozzani's part to point out that Noemie's Vogue Paris cover wasn't supported by an inside ediitorial. Interesting enough the Hiss Squad told me Iman recently booked a Vogue Paris gig.

7.From Vogue Paris to US Vogue to Vogue Italia, Conde Nast editors are playing market leaders on that issue of diversity. It will be interesting to see the echo effect at other magazine groups but more importantly the advertiser response.

8. Which evokes the question made explicit by Horn, "Can black models sell (luxury) in 2008?" Two very powerful photographers, Nick Knight and Steven Meisel have gone on the record to say they are discouraged by clients from casting black models.

9. TI loves seeing Ashley Brokaw in the media spotlight.

10. Wonder who's the August VI cover. Hiss Squad alert!
Let's think, it is anyone that is in the Vogue Noir issue is going to be on the cover for August. I have a few specualtions. I know it isn't Iman, since she is already doing something for Vogue Paris for August. (Probably a YSL tribute issue) I have my suspicions that is may either be Chanel Iman (since she didn't get it for July), or Sessilee again. I secretly want Sabina on the cover. I really want her on a cover of a high fashion magazine! (she reminds me of a young Stacey McKenzie)

VOGUE NOIR!! Part Un 2.0

Quickie update:
this calls for ORGASMS!

Chanel Iman

Washed-out Fashion Industry?

So went to P.F. Changs with some Fashionably Chic Friends (FCFs) and I was talking to one of them about whether or not this industry is racist. I mean, DUH! It is, but not as much as it used to be as we think about it, but with the anticipation of Vogue Noir, the other Vogues are taking notice to our ethnic models, particularly Arlenis (who is drop dead gorgeous, look @ the pics), Jourdan, and Channel. In July 08 issue of US Vogue, the three "it" ethnic girls all discuss whether or not this fashion industry is racist, and all took their editorial photos with Annie Leibovitz.

Channel is getting Flack! IDK Why!

As you guys all know, I love Chanel Iman (Channel) and lately there has been a lot of talk about her diva like personality, comparing her to Naomi, and Lily Donaldson (who reportedly only is polite to influentials). I never met Channel, Naomi, or Lily, but I seriously doubt that she is a diva. I mean, she doesn't look like a diva, and I've seen her in countless candids, and she seems super duper nice. Like SuperTeen! I can say now, she is having a career very similar to young Alek and Naomi. Hopefully she doesn't pull a Tyrant and lose her appeal.

The Color of Noir.

Ladies and Gentlemen! If you don't know: For the July 2008 Issue of Vogue Italia, there will be featuring only NON-WHITE MODELS! That means Channel dust off the pumps; Alek use extra body gloss, and Iman just be Iman, because you guys are taking over the magazine! Thanks to our friend in our head, Steven Miesel, he heard an upcoming top model's rant of their are more than white in London! (Thanks Jourdan Dunn). So far there have been a few confirms, and so far it looks like Jourdan Dunn is going to grace the cover! However, I find it a bit hypocritical when you go years rarely putting black models on covers and editorials, but you are going to use 30 black models in one issue, and the next issue go back to ZERO. Where is the diversity in that, Franca Sozzani?

Chanel and Champagne.

I literally am in love with Chanel Iman (aka Channel). She is so f-in gorgeous and damn smart (even though she went to Redan, allegedly). But anywho, she has became friends with Danielle Evans (the 6th winner of Top Model) calling her the other half. Good thing is, if we mash their name up like what hollywood would do, like Bragelina, or Tomkat, we would have Chanielle, Dannel, ChanDan, or DanChan. Those all sound really ugly. And another good thing about Channel is that she always stays in MODEL mode! I dub her the next Liya Kebede. (P.S. She is rumoured to be linked with designer Philip Lim!)

Don't you live for it?! I do.

She is also one of the current faces of Express! And can I say one of the top walkers I have seen! Move over Natasha Poly (not really)!

Galliano + Petticoat Junction = VOMITronic!

I don't know about you, but the DIOR Cruise Show yesterday was UGLY! Galliano is getting old and senial, and we need Dior to come back to it's original elegance, and not this Taffeta, and Polyester they speak of! There are some hideous outfits, these were the top hideous garments of their 2K9 Cruise Line!

Photobucket
What the hell is this outfit? She looks Tranny!

Photobucket
She looks like an extra in a vintage Country video on the Ed Sullivan Show!

Photobucket
It is a Giraffe/Cheetah combo maxi skirt. That is all I have to say.

Photobucket
It looks like Prom 1964. What are these ruffles?! And it is a light beige color. Very F-in CLASSY!

Photobucket
THE WINNER! She looks like the rainbow just died on her. And those prints on the capri-leggings combo makes her look like her name should be Tribal Moonstarlight. I bet this would win best dressed @ any high school! And don't get me started on the hot pink sombrero!

The only DECENT outfit is the one worn by my favorite Chanel Iman (aka Channel).
Photobucket
And the only reason is that it is ALL WHITE and there aren't too many damn ruffles!

Dear John Galliano,

You need some more inspiration, or a good lay because this collection is worst than Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. One word: VOMITRONIC!
